Pope F, are you for real?

This time I’m going to assert a point that really disturb me, and that is the fact that in this historic moment in modern society, and I suspect that it’s been like that since ancient times, any organization, project, institution or plan, even the most despicable one, if it has a likeable “face” or façade, everything’s going to be alright. For those who still don’t get it, I’m going to throw one example in order to clarify my point.
Let’s talk about a certain Pope:
He was criticized for recentralizing power back to the Vatican following what some viewed as a decentralizing by Pope John XXIII.
He was also criticized for failing to respond appropriately to the sex position against artificial birth control, including the use of condoms to prevent the spread of HIV, was harshly criticized by doctors and AIDS activists, who said that it led to countless deaths and millions of AIDS orphans abuse crisis.
He’s defense of teachings of the Catholic Church regarding gender roles, sexuality, euthanasia, artificial contraception and abortion came under criticism.
Some Christian feminists challenged views of his on the role of women in society, including the ordination of women.
Among other things, this was pretty much the “dark side” of that popular Pope, and when I say popular, I mean it: John Paul II. This Pope was, until now, the most popular Pope of modern history, because he was extremely “likeable”, a face that can only symbolize or be synonymous of loyalty, kindness, and love; but deep inside he had a very dark reality.
Don’t get me wrong, people: I love this new Pope F! I’m sure that this dude is a fantastic person and as a friend, he has to be something else, but it’s not about that, we have to remember that he’s the “President of a country” named The Vatican and has, like any other country, all the demons that we’ve discussed in other articles. It’s not, for sure, coincidence the fact that just after one of the most despicable and unlikable Pope in modern history comes one of the most popular and likable... No way!

I just wonder what is it with this new Pope? Do we really know what’s behind this again “likable” façade? Just sayin’!
